The main idea is that you find checksums files generated by EF CheckSum Manager on your PC, so you don’t need to reinstall your operating system or to buy additional software. All you need is to browse to a folder that contains checksum files generated by EF CheckSum Manager and then verify them.
The following steps should be taken to apply the checksum file.
Open the file using your desired software
Now you are ready to verify the checksum file.
After verification, you can download the data to your PC.
When you are done, it is recommended that you delete the checksum file.

OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) is a standard introduced by the OBD-II initiative.
It enables users to analyze the engine and other vehicle systems in order to find out the reason for the malfunction of the vehicle.
OBD-II enabled vehicles have unique OBD-II identifiers stored in a microchip installed in the vehicle’s engine control module.
They can be read through a diagnostic connector and sent to an OBD-II compatible diagnostic tool.
There are two standard protocols supported by OBD-II:
• CAN (Controller Area Network): this is an open standard protocol originally adopted for vehicle networking.
It has been used to communicate between ECUs (Engine Control Units) and the diagnostic tool.
• J1850: this is a diagnostic standard that was developed by the J1850-TIA (J1850 Transmission Inter-alia Association).
It has been used to communicate between the diagnostic tool and the OBD-II controller that is usually installed on the dashboard.

It was developed to diagnose vehicle components as well as diagnose possible malfunctions.
