Got stains? We can protect your carpets, upholostery and rugs from permanent stains!
Fibers have dye sites, which give the carpet manufacturers the ability to color the fibers to meet today’s design needs. The problem is only a small percentage of these dye sites are ever used in the dying process, therefore leaving vacant dye sites.
The majority of dye sites remain “open” or vacant, becoming potential homes for permanent stains. Once a staining agent (coffee, tea, wine, urine, juice etc.,) enters the dye site, the staining agent can bond with the fiber and become permanent as an actual dye.
We use a stain guard protectant that will penetrate the vacant dye site that will greatly assist in blocking that dye site from a permanent stain.
The stainguard is applied through the cleaning process either in tank with our portable heat equipment or via separate feed on our heavy-duty truck mount equipment.
The stainguard greatly assists in ensuring that the next time your carpets are professionally cleaned, the stain will respond favorably to the hot water extraction.
How often should you have the stainguard applied? That would depend on your individual situation. If you have kids, pets, spouses, etc., that have a tendency to spill, drip or otherwise cause stains, we suggest having the stainguard applied with each cleaning.
