I have been trying for a while to make a div that I can hide and show and make it “on top” of the page and at the same time it is not clickable. Is there anyway I can do this?
I already tried using position: fixed;, z-index: 2; but that did not work as expected.

AJAX and calling a PHP file in a subfolder
I’m trying to get an AJAX call to work when a button is clicked. The action that the button performs is an AJAX call. I’m making the AJAX call to a PHP file in a subfolder. The AJAX call is working fine, but the PHP file is not being called.
I’ve seen similar questions asked but the problem isn’t similar.
I’ve tried modifying my.htaccess file to allow AJAX calls and I’ve also tried using absolute paths to the PHP file in the AJAX call. I have also tried changing the location of my.htaccess file (to make sure the folder isn’t being read as a PHP file).
I have other PHP files in other folders and they are all working fine, so there must be something in my PHP file that is stopping the AJAX call.
Could anybody suggest what the problem might be?

A teenage Swedish activist has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for her climate change activism.
Greta Thunberg, who is turning 16 in January, has been nominated for the award along with a group of political and business leaders. She rose to prominence last year after staging weekly school strikes to demand that world leaders take urgent action to combat climate change.
The other nominees are Bangladesh activist Tehmina Arif and Sudanese fencer Zein Khalef.
Thunberg was nominated on the strength of her advocacy and her message of change.

“It is very exciting, but also a bit scary,” Thunberg told Swedish news agency TT. “I don’t know what I will say in my acceptance speech.”
